Aphrodite 2019

Aphrodite is een interdisciplinaire solo performance die is gemaakt en wordt gedanst door Alexandra Loembé. Het is het eindresultaat van het onderzoek dat Alexandra in haar derde studiejaar is aangegaan naar haar danstaal en artistieke werkwijze.

“Aphrodite is a multi-layered installation and short piece. This research project consists of a duet (part 1) and an interdisciplinary solo performance, choreographed and performed by myself (part 2). In this work I explored different uses of rhythm in the hips as well as movement from the pelvic area. I questioned the effect of intimacy on the audience and played with minimal material and repeating patterns.”
