Aphrodite
Aphrodite 2019

Aphrodite is an interdisciplinary solo performance created and danced by Alexandra Loembé. It is the end result of the research that Alexandra entered into her dance language and artistic method in the third year of her education.

“Aphrodite is a multi-layered installation and short piece. This research project consists of a duet (part 1) and an interdisciplinary solo performance, choreographed and performed by myself (part 2). In this work I explored different uses of rhythm in the hips as well as movement from the pelvic area. I questioned the effect of intimacy on the audience and played with minimal material and repeating patterns.”
