Summer Residency Het Huis Utrecht 2022

During the summer of 2022 the seeds of a new creation started to sprout. Alexandra was one of the makers to do a short residency at Het Huis Utrecht.  She plunged into a research around the relationship between us people and nature, multiple body, ritual, family, migration and the feeling of “home”. Alexandra used this residency as research for Hearth (working title). The start of her new creation is a continuation of the process of defining her working method and movement language.

"I want to explore how you can open up more and more and peel off multiple layers of yourself. What remains after a cycle of a day, a week, a month, a year, a lifetime or several generations? During the residency I will, physically speaking, reseach how I make dance material from this theme through associations, in which there is a continuation of flow and breath, through rhythmic and invisible transitions."
